this weeks meeting: 1/25/11

January 25th, 2011

Today the club hosted two members from the Ashland Military Support Group, Debbie Arnold and Kay Lindsey.  The shared about how they are shipping literally hundreds of boxes to soliders serving around the world.  these boxes are filled with simple personal items like baby wipes, toothbrush& paste, qtips, tshirts, etc.

They are “providing for our troops” items that many of us take for granted.  They are scheduling a major shipment in May.  Beyond the items they also need donations to help cover the cost of shipping to the miliarty post office. which is almost $1,500 several times a year.

If anyone is interested to helping you can email them here.  Visit their facebook page here.
