Rotary Scholarships
Each year the Rotary Club of Ashland through its foundation awards two $1,500 academic scholarships to seniors at Ashland High School.
This year the recipients are Kalie Hauenstein and Kristyn Yeater. Kalie, the daughter of Mike and Lisa Hauenstein, will attend Malone College to major in exercise science and eventually attend physical therapy school. She will also run cross country and track at Malone. Kristyn, the daughter of Sherri Hamilton and Jon Yeater, will attend Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC. She plans to major in Mass Communications with an emphasis in journalism.
Students competing for the Rotary Foundation Scholarship were judged on leadership and responsibility, extracurricular activities, academic achievement, communication skills, and financial need. The Rotary Club of Ashland congratulates Kalie and Kristyn on their accomplishments and wishes them the best of luck on their future endeavors.
