Living History Cemetery Walk Ashland Cemetery
September 24, 2017 1 to 4 p.m.

History will soon come to life at the Ashland Cemetery.

The Ashland County Historical Society's Living History Cemetery Walk is set for Sunday, September 24 at the Ashland Cemetery located at 523 West Main Street. The tour will begin at 1 p.m. with groups beginning every ten minutes. Tours will make several stops along the route where many of Ashland’s historical figures will come to life as portrayed by local talent. Each character will spend a few minutes sharing factual information and telling stories about their life in Ashland and how they were a part of our history. Period costumes worn by the portrayers further heighten the experience with an aura of authenticity.

A few of the characters being portrayed this year include Frank Goldsmith, a survivor of the Titanic sinking; Walter Holm, owner of Holm Flower Shop; and Mildred Myers, a Probate and Juvenile Judge who was Ashland County's first woman to hold public office. The tour is appropriate for families and all ages. Please plan on joining us for this event. Free and open to the public; donations are welcome.
